Coming up on March 20th - 22nd I am doing my first show at the Jonquil Festival in Washington, Arkansas. To get ready I've framed up a couple of my pieces along with a couple of canvas photos, about 50 of my best shots and I still might do a metal print before it's all said and done. I'm really excited to see how my photography taken in by others in person since I've been mainly working through online channels at this point, although the feedback has been excellent. I decided to do a rustic frame for Cotton Candy as I felt the ruralness (is that a word?) of the photo would stand out well with the old board frame that looks like it came from an old abandoned house. I decided to go with a more upscale look on Lightning Bugs. I felt the colors would really pop against the darker colors from the matting and the frame, and I think it turned out pretty well. The hanging fixtures on the back of the photo are top of the line and will hang solidly.
If you're near Washington for the festival be sure to stop by my booth and check out my photos and say hi!

If you're looking for warm temperatures and spring to be rolling in soon you may want to look to the Gulf Coast or Florida because it appears that cold temps are going to be hanging into the first few days of March. It's pretty far out at this point but the 240 hour GFS has cold temps holding strong deep into the U.S. as far south as Texas and stretching from East Central California all the way to South Carolina. It appears there could be an opportunity for storms to roll through the southeast via the cold front but again this is pretty far out. Anyways, if you love the cold you have a little while longer to enjoy it. If you're ready for warm temps, well...
