Sometimes there are challenges capturing an image in the plains due to a lack of foreground, or anything else for that matter since it's pretty flat in most areas. That wasn't the case for "West Texas", a sunset shot captured near Seymour, Texas. The cactus and brush provided a great mood setter, while the light from the setting sun and rain falling in the distance creates a calm mood that reflects how it felt in person. It's also really hard to translate the wonderful smells from the rain soaked sagebrush and mesquite, and you can almost pick up on that in this photo.
"West Texas" can be purchased as a print in many different sizes in the online store. It's also available as a canvas, framed print, or greeting cards at Fine Art America.
